Hyundai Autonet to Export Car Navigation Systems to Japan

According to an announcement by Hyundai Autonet, a subsidiary of Hyundai, the Korean company has signed a MoU with Japanese Edia whereby Hyundai will export its car electronics equipment offerings to Japan with the help of Edia, which will provide Japanese road map data. Hyundai will export offerings priced between 400,000 and 500,000 Won, and it has a sales target of 200,000 units in the next three years. Annual demand for car navigation systems in Japan is approximately 3.5 million units. Hyundai Autonet also plans to export its products to the United States, Europe and Australia in the near future.
